Which blockchains and tokens you can hold and move, and why the network always matters.

Not every asset exists on every network. When you create a wallet or build a payment, the app only offers the combinations that are actually available, so use the selectors rather than working from this list.
Why the network matters
A wallet address belongs to a specific network. The same address format can be valid on several networks, and an address that looks correct can still be the wrong one for the network you are sending on.
Stablerail does not currently check that a recipient address belongs to the network you selected. If you send on the wrong network, the payment is signed and broadcast like any other, and the funds cannot be recovered by Stablerail or by anyone else.
This is the single most expensive mistake available to you in the product. Treat the network field with the same care as the amount.
How to avoid getting it wrong
- Ask your counterparty for the network in writing, not just the address.
- Save the address against a counterparty with the correct network recorded, and pay from the counterparty record rather than pasting an address each time. See "Add a counterparty".
- On a first payment to a new address, send a small amount, confirm it arrived, then send the rest.
- Check the network shown on the review screen before you approve, not just the address.
Common problems and what they mean
"Unknown chain for address." The address does not match any network Stablerail supports, or the chain you selected does not fit the address format. Recheck both with your counterparty.
Your counterparty says the funds never arrived, but the ledger shows the payment settled. The payment succeeded on the network you chose. If that was not the network they expected, the funds are at that address on the network you sent on. Contact your account manager.
An asset you expected is not in the list. It is not available on the network you selected. Try another network, or ask your account manager whether it is supported at all.
