Invite and remove team members
Adding colleagues, choosing their role, managing pending invitations, and removing people who leave.
Version 1.0 · Last updated
When you would do this
When someone joins your finance or operations team, when someone changes responsibilities, or when someone leaves. Only an Admin can do any of this.
Steps: invite someone
- Go to Settings › Team.
- Select Invite Member.
- Enter their full name and work email address.
- Choose their role: Signer, Requester or Viewer. Admin is not offered, by design.
- If you are adding a signer, decide whether to keep your current signing threshold or increase it. The screen shows you both options with the resulting numbers.
- Select Send Invitation.
They receive an email with a link. They must open it and sign in with the same email address the invitation was sent to, then complete their own authenticator and passkey setup.
Steps: remove someone
- Go to Settings › Team.
- Find the person and remove them.
- If they held a signing key, check your signing threshold still makes sense with one fewer signer.
Managing pending invitations
Invitations that have not been accepted appear under Pending Invites, with their expiry date. For each one you can resend it, copy the link to send yourself, or revoke it.
An invitation that has expired can be resent with a new link. Declined and expired invitations stay visible so you can see what happened.
What to expect
Invited people do not appear as team members until they accept and finish setting up their security. A signer who has accepted but not finished setup does not yet count towards your quorum.
Role changes are made from the team list, not by re-inviting.
Common problems and what they mean
"This email already has a pending invite." Revoke the existing invitation first, then send a new one with the role you want.
"This person declined an earlier invite." Revoke the declined invitation before inviting them again.
"This person is already a team member." Change their role from the team list instead of inviting them again.
"Invite created but email delivery failed." The invitation exists but the email did not arrive. Use the resend button, or copy the link and send it yourself.
They signed in and got no access. They used a different email address from the one the invitation was sent to. Revoke and re-invite to the address they actually use.
You cannot remove an Admin. Only another Admin can, and the last Admin can never be removed.
