Export records for your auditor or accountant

Getting your transaction history, banking statements and audit trail out of the platform in a usable format.

    When you would do this

At period end, during an audit, or whenever your accountant asks for the underlying detail behind a set of numbers.

    Steps: export your transaction history

    1. Go to Operation › Ledger.
    2. Filter to the period and scope you need: date range, direction, vault, asset, status.
    3. Select Export.
    4. Choose the format: PDF for a statement someone will read, Excel or CSV for something that will be worked on.

    Steps: export banking activity

    1. Go to Operation › Banking.
    2. Open the Statement tab.
    3. Select Export and choose PDF, Excel or CSV.

    Steps: export the audit log

    1. Go to Governance › Audit log.
    2. Filter to the period, category or person you need.
    3. Export.

Steps: evidence for a single transaction

Use the evidence pack instead. It contains far more than a row in a spreadsheet, including the compliance checks and the rules in force at the time. See "Export an evidence pack".

    Which format for which purpose

PDF is a fixed statement. Use it when someone needs to read and file it.

Excel keeps the structure and is the right choice for reconciliation work.

CSV is the plain fallback for loading into another system.

    What to expect

Exports reflect the filters you have applied, so check them before you export. It is easy to send an auditor a file that silently excludes a vault.

Every export contains the on-chain transaction reference for each payment. That reference is what lets your auditor verify a payment independently of anything Stablerail says, which is usually what they actually want.

Earn positions can be downloaded separately from the Earn page.

Records are retained for the life of your account, so an export for a prior period is always available.

Common problems and what they mean

Your export is missing transactions you expected. A filter is still applied. Clear them and export again.

The totals do not match your accounting system. Check whether network fees are being treated consistently on both sides, and whether you have included internal transfers between your own vaults, which move money without being income or expenditure.

Your auditor wants proof a record has not been edited. Give them the evidence pack for the transactions in question, which carries fingerprints for exactly this.

They ask who approved something. The audit log export answers this across transactions. The evidence pack answers it for one.
