Stablerail as a Bridge alternative
Bridge (now part of Stripe) is orchestration infrastructure: APIs to move between fiat and stablecoins inside your own product. Stablerail is what a finance team uses directly — an account with controls, not a toolkit to build one.
Side by side
| Dimension | Stablerail | Bridge |
|---|---|---|
| Primary buyer | Finance team at an operating company | Engineering team building a product |
| Shape of product | A logged-in operating account | APIs and orchestration infrastructure |
| Custody | Self-custodial MPC with quorum key export | Provider-managed |
| Controls | Approvals, limits and screening out of the box | You build the control layer |
| Payouts | Batch payouts with counterparty register | Transfer APIs |
| Cards | Stablecoin-funded corporate cards via partners | Issuing via the wider Stripe stack |
| Fiat rails | IBAN, ACH, SEPA, SEPA Instant via partners | On/off-ramp APIs |
| Evidence | Audit export by default | Data you assemble yourself |
| Time to value | Days, no engineering | Integration project |

Choose Stablerail if
- You want to run treasury operations, not build payment infrastructure.
- You need approvals, screening and audit evidence without writing them yourself.
- You want to hold your own keys.
- You need cards and fiat rails attached to the same balance today.
Choose Bridge if
- You are embedding stablecoin movement inside your own product for your customers.
- You have engineers who want raw APIs and full control of the UX.
- You are already deep in the Stripe stack and want it all in one contract.
Frequently asked questions
Is Stablerail built on Bridge?
No. Stablerail's key management is built on Privy MPC infrastructure. Fiat rails and cards are provided by regulated third-party partners after KYB.
When is orchestration infrastructure the better choice?
When stablecoin movement is a feature of your own product and your engineers need to control the flow end to end. If money movement is an internal finance process, an operating account is faster and cheaper.
Can Stablerail be automated via API?
Yes, but it is not required. Finance teams operate the account directly; APIs exist for teams that want to automate recurring payouts or reconciliation.
Who holds the funds?
You do. Stablerail is self-custodial — keys are split with MPC and Stablerail cannot sign a transaction alone.
