Put idle funds to work with Earn
Depositing treasury balances into yield vaults, withdrawing them again, and what to understand before you do.
Version 1.0 · Last updated
When you would do this
When you are holding stablecoin balances you do not need immediately and want them to generate a return rather than sitting idle.
Earn is optional. Whether your team can use it, and whether a single signer can approve it, is controlled by your policies.
Before you start
Earn is not a deposit account and it is not guaranteed. Returns vary, are not fixed, and can change at any time. Value can fall as well as rise.
Funds remain yours throughout. Stablerail does not take custody of them.
Deposits and withdrawals are money movements, so they go through your normal approval controls.
Steps: deposit
- Go to Operation › Earn.
- Choose the asset you want to deposit.
- Review the vaults available for it. Each shows its current rate, size, risk tier (Conservative, Balanced or Aggressive) and any minimum timelock on withdrawals.
- Open the vault you want and select Deposit.
- Choose the source wallet and enter the amount, or use MAX.
- Review the projected earnings shown, remembering they are projections based on the current rate and not a promise.
- Submit.
- Approve it in Operation › Signing.
Steps: withdraw
- Go to Operation › Earn and find the position under Your positions.
- Select Withdraw.
- Enter the amount and submit.
- Approve it in Operation › Signing.
What to expect
Your positions view shows total deposited, current value, total earned and the blended rate across your positions, and you can download it as CSV.
Rates are variable and update continuously. The rate you saw when depositing is not the rate you will earn throughout.
Some vaults apply a timelock, a minimum period before a withdrawal completes. This is shown before you deposit. Check it against when you might need the money.
Withdrawals can also be affected by available liquidity in the vault, so a very large withdrawal may not complete instantly.
Common problems and what they mean
"No vaults registered for this asset yet." Nothing is available for that asset. Choose another, or ask your Admin.
"Pick a treasury wallet first." Choose the source wallet before entering an amount.
Your deposit is not showing. It is in the signing queue awaiting approval. Nothing moves until it is signed.
Your earned figure went down. Value moves with the underlying position. It is not a fixed accrual.
A withdrawal is taking longer than expected. Check the vault's timelock, and whether the vault currently has liquidity available.
Earn requires full quorum every time. Earn self-approval is switched off in your policies. An Admin can change it. See "Set your policy thresholds".
