A self-custody wallet a finance team can actually operate

Most business wallets force a choice: an exchange account you do not control, or a hardware wallet in a drawer that one person can lose. Stablerail is neither.

    Custody model

    • MPC key shares held by your organisation — no single device, no single person.
    • Quorum signing: a payment moves only when the configured number of humans sign.
    • Role-based access, so a preparer can build a payment but never release it.
    • Documented key export, so control does not depend on Stablerail continuing to exist.

    Policies are organisation-level

Limits, allowlists and approval thresholds apply to the whole organisation and every vault under it, not to one wallet at a time. Only an Admin can edit them, and a policy change requires the full signing quorum — the same bar as moving money. Details are in the security overview.

What operators get day to day

    • One balance across chains rather than a wallet per network.
    • Screening on destinations before signing, not alerts after settlement.
    • Evidence attached to every transaction: who prepared, who approved, what policy applied.
    • Access revocation that takes effect immediately when someone leaves.

    Frequently asked questions

    Who holds the keys?

Your organisation does. Keys are generated as MPC shares, and signing requires the quorum you configure. Stablerail cannot move funds on its own.

    What happens if Stablerail disappears?

There is a documented export path so your organisation can recover control of the wallet independently. Custody that only works while the vendor is alive is not self-custody.

How many signers should we use?

Most finance teams run 2-of-3 for day-to-day operations and raise the threshold for high-value or new-counterparty payments. Thresholds are policy, not hard-coded.

    Can we set spending limits?

Yes. Limits apply at the organisation level across all vaults, and only an admin can change them — a policy change itself requires the full signing quorum.

    Which chains are supported?

Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, BNB Chain, Optimism, Solana and Tron, with USDC, USDT, EURC, DAI and PYUSD.
